Pier 39 San Francisco, CA

Sarah found the note I had scribbled for her on the sidewalks of San Francisco....

After Anna Claire and I visited Muir Woods and returned the car, we met the family back at Pier 39 for lunch.

I had rented a 300mm lens for this trip, thinking I would use it a lot in Yosemite, but almost never took it out of the bag.  This was the only day on the trip that the lens came in handy.  I used it for the Sea Lions in an earlier post and some of these Pier 39 shots to create the depth of field.

We loved our bread bowl soup.....I guess the birds did too.

A visit to San Francisco just wouldn’t be complete without a stop by Pier 39.  The Sea Lions were out in full force during our visit!
